To cover the entire range of user needs and to address the specifications they have required, The Red Point specialists will develop new modules and modify the existing ones, as follows:
- train running times between two stations will be computed automatically by taking into account train features (load, traction etc) and geography (gradient and resistance, maximum permissible speed on track etc);
- providing a module for archiving train routes. Trains can be archived and used for future use. Archived trains do not feature on diagrams, in reports etc;
- computing station and halt capacity;
- customizing diagrams for specific users. Each user has his/her own array of diagrams, with exclusive read/edit rights. By demand, other users can be granted access to customized user diagrams. The diagram of a specific can also be transferred to the shared array of diagrams (diagrams that can be viewed and modified by all users);
- drafting station outlines: plotting a station with lines, signals, and other such items;
- viewing geography data per section as a table, and plotting gradient ratios;
- copying a railcar section from a trainset and picking it up in another train;
- the reverse train routes feature;
- adding new columns to the train editor to adjust running times, in which negative values can also be entered;
- computing the difference in minutes when changing the time in the regional boundary station;
- enabling the “calendar” for each train and allowing the diagram to be created for a specific day or enabling the overall diagram feature;
- tracing a train route automatically by selecting the out-station, the end-station and possibly one or more stations the train transits.
- consist configuration (coaches, seats assigned in coaches);
- creating read, edit or report drafting rights for each train class.
- plotting the geography. On a map of Romania, the stations and the tracks in-between will be plotted. A zoom feature will be added, with stations displayed at a zoom-dependant scale, as well as station operations and links directly in the map.
